Garda Cabernet Sauvignon
Location of vineyards:
  • In Calvagese Riviera, hamlets Belvedere and Terzago, middlehill (260 m.), environmental-friendly systems.
  • Pruning: spurred string method.
Produced from following grapes and processing:
  • Cabernet Sauvignon in purity (20% overripe).
  • During harvest the grapes are put in fruit boxes. After a 90-day fermentation period in wooden barrels, dregs are removed by cooling down the must and the obtained wine is kept to age in large Slavonian oak casks for at least 15 months.
  • After bottling, it refines its tastes resting for at least 3 months in its box- packing, before being put on sale.
  Organoleptic Test:
  • Colour: bright red, with intense purple reflections;
  • A pleasant wine, delicately herbaceous, clean and full;
  • Dry taste, not acid, with unusual hints of peppers and raspberry;
  • Alcohol content 12% vol and more.
 Ideal with:
  • It perfectly blends with baked pasta dishes, noodles with meat sauce and porcini mushrooms; grilled   meat and stews, hard cheese, especially “bagoss”, an excellent product of Brescian cheese tradition;
  • Best uncorked at least 30 minutes before pouring, at a temperature of 20°C.
